Coronavirus (COVID-19), struck China during Chinese Spring Festival Holiday, and is now affecting 199 countries and territories worldwide. As of the 27th of March, the virus has been contracted by 536,478 individuals and the number is increasing at an alarming rate.

Masks will be given out on Elegomall official website at 03:00-07:00am & 15:00-19:00pm (Hong Kong Time) during 24th, March to 9th, April on work days.
Given the fact that there is a scarcity of masks in many countries including Italy and Japan, leading to unreasonable prices, ElegoMall decided to launch a Free Mask Scheme on their website in order to help those in need of masks. “Vaping can’t kill virus, but LOVE can! – LOVE from Chinese vaping industry. Stay safe, let’s keep calm and carry on!,” reads ElegoMall’s tagline.

The business approached some of the local manufactures asking whether they would be willing to sponsor some masks.  “We want to express our care and love for our customers all over the world. Thanks to VAPORESSO, SMOK, UWELL, VOOPOO, OBS and SMOANT for sponsoring over 25,000 masks for the Activity. Masks will be given out on Elegomall official website at 03:00-07:00am & 15:00-19:00pm (Hong Kong Time) during 24th, March to 9th, April on work days,” said the supplier in a press release.

The vape industry struggles with stock demands

Meanwhile, with 90% to 95% of all vape components manufactured in factories in Shenzhen, China, global suppliers out of china have been struggling with stock demands.

While today some of the factories have reopened, they are still not operating at full capacity, as some workers are reluctant to return to work, while others are still quarantined. “We’re going to be looking at a few weeks of delays in raw material,” said Arnaud Dumas de Rauly, founder and CEO of New York-based The Blinc Group.

The e-cig stock shortage is just one example of what’s been described as the ‘second wave’ of economic chaos resulting from the coronavirus outbreak, which is disrupting business trade on a global level. The first wave naturally affected mostly the tourism and aviation industry.
