A pod for clouds

The Luxe X3 features an integrated 2600 mAh battery, offering fairly comfortable battery life for a device that remains compact in size. While it is originally designed for direct inhaling, it is possible to vape with a tighter draw using compatible cartridges and coils. With no great complexity, it is a pleasant and easy-to-use pod.

Good battery life and choice of coils

On one side of the Luxe X3, a sliding tab adjusts the airflow that cools the coil inside the cartridge. When adjusted to leave as many openings as possible free, the draw becomes airy and direct. The more these openings are covered, the more restricted the draw becomes. With the supplied cartridges, inhaling remains direct, but it is more or less restricted depending on the coil resistance. The adjustment is reliable and stays firmly in place.

Under the pod, a USB-C port allows fast charging of the integrated 2600 mAh battery. This offers battery life comparable to a kit using an 18650-format cell, but in a much more compact size. Just below, a small slider locks the pod. This is a very practical feature when carrying the device, and avoids having to press the pod repeatedly to turn it off.

On the front, a colour screen displays the essential information without unnecessary frills, such as the selected power and remaining battery level. A button allows the vaping power to be selected, although the pod automatically adjusts the wattage when the cartridge is inserted. This button also produces vapour, but it is also possible to use draw activation.

Two cartridges are supplied in the box. One is a 0.6 ohm Luxe X cartridge for restricted direct inhaling, while the 0.4 ohm Luxe X cartridge is airier and more dynamic for a cloudier vape. Capacity is 5 ml.

Filling is conventional and is done by lifting the soft silicone plug. Most e-liquid bottle tips are compatible.

The Luxe X3 pod is also compatible with Luxe X and Luxe XR cartridges, as well as GTX coils starting from 0.3 ohm. This range of consumables makes the Luxe X3 particularly versatile and suitable for most vapers’ needs.

As for vaping performance, there is no disappointment to report. Flavours are clearly present and detailed. Whether vaping fruity or more dessert-oriented e-liquids, flavour rendering is reliable. Add to that the pod’s battery life and ease of use, and it becomes a very good choice for fans of direct vaping.
