New capacity
The Oxva Unione is a surprising pod. With a 10 ml capacity and a fairly substantial format, one might expect a device designed for dynamic, cloud-heavy vaping. That is not the case: the draw is tight and the vapour is smooth. Thanks to its 10 ml capacity, the Unione only needs to be refilled occasionally.

A large pod with a large capacity
Under the pod, a USB-C port allows the integrated 1100 mAh battery to be recharged. Despite its fairly substantial format, this is not the pod with the largest battery capacity. The good news, however, is that the pod proves rather moderate in its power consumption with the 0.8 ohm coil. The Unione does not include a charging cable in the box.
On one side of the Unione, a slider is used to adjust the airflow entering the coil. When this opening is at its widest, it is possible to vape with a very restricted direct inhale. By adjusting the slider, it is also possible to obtain a very tight draw with warmer vapour. The setting is simple.
By sliding open the top hatch of the pod, users can access the filling port. The Unione’s strong point is its 10 ml capacity. The inside of the cartridge is divided into two sections. An opening allows the liquid to pass from one chamber to the other, feeding the wick with e-liquid. The transparency of the tank makes it possible to check the remaining e-liquid level at a glance, without removing the cartridge from the battery.
A button is used to turn the pod on and off. Two successive presses switch the Unione from Eco mode to Boost mode, offering two different sensations. Vapour is produced simply by inhaling.
The display is hidden beneath the screen. It is not very bright, and in our tests, not bright enough. It shows the remaining battery level as a percentage, as well as the selected mode.
In terms of vaping performance, Oxva does not disappoint. The pod reproduces flavours reliably. Fans of warm, tight vaping will be satisfied by adjusting the airflow to their preferences. Although it is possible to vape with a restricted direct inhale, this is not where the Unione performs best. Not because flavours are degraded, but because the range of adjustments is wider for indirect inhaling.
The 0.8 ohm coil broadly corresponds to this type of vape.
