Almost there
From a purely theoretical standpoint, the Gozee Nex kit is appealing thanks to its ease of use and attractive design, but it leaves us somewhat unsatisfied. It works, certainly, but a few details lack refinement and give the impression of an unfinished product. On the plus side, it has a substantial battery capacity and requires very little vaping knowledge to use.

Good flavours, but…
The top of the mod can accommodate a clearomizer up to 22.5 mm in diameter without any overhang. The kit is designed to be used with the Go Z Nex, the clearomizer included in the box. The connector is spring-loaded to ensure constant contact.
Underneath the mod, a switch makes it very easy to turn the device on and off. This eliminates the usual sequences of button presses. A simple switch is much more convenient, especially when carrying the mod in a pocket or bag.
On the front, the layout is conventional, with a fire button, a screen, two adjustment buttons and a USB-C port for charging the built-in 3300 mAh battery. Nothing unusual here: simple and effective. The fit between the different parts is flawless, and the overall appearance is pleasant and feels high quality.
The colour screen displays all the essential information: selected power, coil resistance, puff count and, of course, battery percentage. Accessing the menus is simple. Pressing the two buttons below the screen gives access to a few options. The mod only features Wattage mode. Wanting to keep functionality as simple as possible so that the device is accessible to as many users as possible, particularly new vapers, is generally a good thing. But where some may see simplicity, we see a lack of guidance.
Users can adjust the power up to 60 W, but there is no Smart-type mode, which would suggest an optimal power range depending on the coil being used. An experienced user may be perfectly comfortable with this, but a beginner could more easily make a mistake. The risk of setting the power far too high is significant. There is no option to customise the screen either… which is a shame.
The supplied Go Z Nex clearomizer has a capacity of 3.5 ml. Its construction is fairly conventional. The tank is made entirely of plastic, something we will come back to. The mouthpiece uses a 510 format and can be replaced with any standard model of your choice. A second drip tip is included, featuring a wider opening for restricted direct-to-lung vaping.
Filling is done by sliding the upper section of the clearomizer, the top cap, which is marked with a triangle. The filling port is compatible with most e-liquid bottle nozzles. However, the sliding mechanism is far too loose and does not offer enough resistance to prevent accidental opening. We would have preferred a firmer metal system.
The airflow adjustment is located at the bottom of the clearomizer. During our tests, we did not notice any particular leaking or seepage. With the airflow slot fully open, the draw is direct but remains restricted, making it suitable for an airy vape. At the other end of the spectrum, restricting the airflow produces a much tighter draw for mouth-to-lung vaping.
Two coils are included in the kit: the 0.8 ohm Z Coil for vaping between 15 and 18 W, and the 0.3 ohm Z Coil for use between 30 and 40 W. Z Coils have a strong reputation and deliver very good flavour. Whether vaping fruity, dessert-style or menthol e-liquids, the flavour reproduction and overall flavour range are excellent.
Although the kit disappoints in certain areas, flavour certainly is not one of them.
