A rugged and fully featured mod

The top of the mod accommodates the iTank T clearomizer supplied with the kit. It can also take your favorite atomizer up to 24 mm in diameter at the base without any overhang. The connection is spring-loaded for reliable contact. A slightly raised section around the connection helps protect the mod from scratches when fitting or removing the clearomizer.

On the front, there is a contrasting fire button, a color screen, two buttons for navigating the menus and adjusting settings, and a USB-C port protected by a flexible silicone cover. It is a familiar layout for a box mod, but the ergonomics have clearly been designed for comfortable everyday use.

The mod runs on two 18650 batteries. The battery door is solid, and a small latch makes it easier to open. Battery polarity is clearly indicated, making incorrect installation virtually impossible. Once the batteries are fitted, there is no noticeable movement inside the compartment and no pressure on the door. The overall fit and finish are excellent.

On the side of the mod, a sliding switch locks the device. A padlock symbol indicates whether the mod is locked or unlocked. This feature is particularly useful during transport, helping to prevent accidental firing without having to switch the device off using the more traditional sequence of repeated button presses. Most of the body is covered with a shock-absorbing coating that also has a pleasant texture and improves grip.
The mod’s screen is simple and displays all the essential information, including selected wattage, puff count and coil resistance.
The mod delivers between 5 and 220 W. The menus are conventional and uncomplicated, while still covering the majority of vapers’ needs.
The available vaping modes are Pulse, Eco, Boost and TC for temperature control.

In Pulse mode, the mod makes brief power variations while vaping. The result is a more sustained sensation, with greater presence in the mouth and increased vapor production.
Eco mode focuses on more conservative battery use. Power is delivered in the conventional way, without the variations used in Pulse mode. This helps reduce strain on the batteries and extend battery life during everyday use.
Boost mode is designed to bring the coil up to its ideal operating temperature quickly. More power is applied at the start of each puff in order to immediately produce a generous amount of vapor. It is the mode to choose when you want a rapid ramp-up and dense vapor from the very beginning of the draw.
Temperature control is also included, even though only a very small minority of vapers are likely to use it. The Smart function is still present and automatically suggests a suitable wattage range according to the resistance of the coil fitted in the clearomizer.
Naturally, the screen backgrounds can also be changed.
A clearomizer built for clouds

The clearomizer supplied with the kit is the iTank T. It has a 6 ml capacity, which is ideal for direct lung vaping. It uses a top-airflow design, meaning the air inlets are positioned at the top of the clearomizer. This system is reliable and helps prevent potential leaks. The clearomizer measures 23 mm in diameter at the base, although the beveled shape of this section quickly widens to 24.5 mm.

Filling is easy. Simply slide the top section to access the fill port, which is protected by a split seal. The opening point is marked with a small red arrow, so there is no room for confusion.

Airflow adjustment is made easier by numbered markings on the rotating ring. The more the airflow is opened, the airier the draw becomes. Conversely, the iTank T becomes more restricted when the amount of incoming air is reduced. In every configuration, however, this clearomizer is intended exclusively for direct lung vaping.

Installing the coil requires no particular skill. Simply unscrew the base of the clearomizer and insert the coil, which is held in place by seals as well as the screw-on base.
Two coils are supplied with the kit: GTI coils rated at 0.2 and 0.4 ohm. The 0.4-ohm GTI is a dual-mesh coil designed for use between 50 and 60 W. The 0.2-ohm GTI is also dual mesh, but is intended for vaping between 60 and 75 W.

In terms of vaping performance, the results are excellent. Vaporesso has been using GTI coils for a long time, and they consistently provide excellent flavor reproduction. Whether vaping fruity, dessert-style or menthol e-liquids, there are no issues to report. The result is powerful, dense and precise, with substantial vapor production that is fully in line with the selected wattage.
