Review: Drag S3 – Voopoo

Between pod and kit, the Drag S3 is a vaping device equipped with a built-in 3000 mAh battery and a 5 ml cartridge. Simple to use, it proves reliable in operation and efficient in flavour delivery. The Drag S3 is mainly designed for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping but also handles a more dynamic style with ease.

A comfortable pod

The front side of the Drag S3 features a circular firing button. It bears the Everest Lab logo — the R&D division of the brand. Besides this branding, the button is touch-sensitive and equipped with a capacitive sensor. Touching it instantly unlocks the pod, while releasing your finger locks it automatically.

In daily use, the feature is particularly responsive and reliable. Two additional buttons allow navigation through the menus and power adjustment, alongside a USB-C port for fast charging of the built-in 3000 mAh battery.

The back of the Drag S3 is rounded, ensuring an excellent grip. Depending on the finish, the texture varies. On our test model, the faux-leather material is beautifully decorated, with the model name clearly visible at first glance.

The Drag S3 can deliver up to 60 W — more than enough considering the included coils — but it’s compatible with many more power-hungry resistances.

It offers a menu with three main modes: SMART mode, which automatically adjusts power according to the coil’s resistance value; RBA mode, which gives full manual control; and Eco mode, designed to extend battery life. Some additional display and lock options complete the package. Nothing complicated here — the Drag S3 is intuitive and easy to handle.

The cartridge holds 5 ml, enough for long vaping sessions. Filling is done from the side, at the base of the cartridge: simply lift the rubber plug to access the fill port. It’s a classic, straightforward system. The mouthpiece is fairly narrow and well-matched to the included coils.

At the top of the tank, a rotating ring allows adjustment of the airflow entering the cartridge to cool the coil. The wider the airflow, the airier the draw — though it remains within the restricted direct-lung range with the supplied coils. A tighter draw is achievable by reducing airflow and using a suitable resistance.

Two coils come with the Drag S3: a PnP X 0.6 ohm (recommended between 18 and 23 W) and a PnP X 0.8 ohm (for 12 to 16 W). Both are designed for controlled vapour production.

The 0.6 ohm coil allows a very restricted direct-lung vape that can still produce denser clouds. In terms of flavour, it’s a success — the PnP X range has already proven its ability to deliver rich taste.

The Drag S3 is compatible with both PnP X and PnP X V2 coils, expanding its versatility and offering a wide range of vaping experiences.
