An Excellent Pod with XXL Battery Life
On the side of the Luxe XR Max 2 pod, a large slider adjusts the airflow entering the coil. The wider the opening, the cooler the coil and the more airy the draw for large vapor production. The narrower the space, the tighter the draw for mouth-to-lung inhalation similar to a traditional cigarette.
The airflow control piece is beautifully machined. It feels great under the finger—firm and stable, with precise adjustment.
At the bottom of the Luxe XR Max 2 is a USB-C port for fast charging its built-in 3200 mAh battery. The battery life is especially impressive for a pod less than 11 cm tall—equivalent to a robust 18650 battery.
Just above the USB-C port is a sliding switch that locks the device. Sliding it instantly disables the pod, preventing vaping or setting changes. It’s quick and convenient for transport, avoiding the usual multi-click lock procedure on the fire button.
The front face includes a firing button, a display screen, and two touch-sensitive adjustment buttons. The cartridge sits atop the pod, with good visibility of the e-liquid level. The internal components are visible beside the screen, and the build quality and assembly are excellent—everything is perfectly aligned. The reverse side displays the brand logo and a subtle “Luxe” inscription.
The screen is bright and in color. Key information is clearly displayed: selected wattage, puff count, battery percentage, coil resistance, etc.
The Luxe XR Max 2 offers several customization options. You can adjust screen brightness, animation, and LED illumination around the display. The main menu features Vaporesso’s proprietary Pulse mode and an Eco mode. A Smart function automatically adjusts the ideal vaping power based on coil resistance, but this feature is optional depending on user preference. The menus are intuitive and meet the majority of pod users’ needs.
Two cartridges are included in the box with different coils. One is designed for direct-lung vaping with a GTX dual mesh 0.2-ohm coil, intended for use between 45 and 60 W. The other, a mesh coil at 0.8 ohm, is suited for mouth-to-lung vaping at 12 to 16 W.
The pod is compatible with both replaceable-coil cartridges and cartridges with integrated sealed coils. Available coil resistances range from 0.2 to 1.2 ohm, catering to various power needs. It’s unlikely users won’t find a coil that suits their vaping style.
The tank capacity is 5 ml. The coil is securely held in place with effective O-rings. Refilling is done from the bottom by lifting a silicone flap.
