Simple and effective
While the all-plastic construction may put off some vapers looking for a more premium pod, the Argus Z3’s main advantage is its weight. At just 41 grams, it is extremely light and easily disappears into a pocket. With no settings other than airflow adjustment, the device is very easy to use and offers two different vaping styles thanks to its multi-Ohm pod.

A featherweight pod
On one side of the pod, a slider adjusts the airflow used to cool the coil inside the cartridge. The more air you let through, the airier the draw becomes, although it never goes beyond a restricted direct lung draw. Reducing the opening tightens the draw and allows for mouth-to-lung vaping. This becomes even more noticeable when selecting the higher resistance value, which we will come back to later.
On one side of the Argus Z3, a USB-C port provides fast charging for the built-in 1100 mAh battery. It does not offer the greatest battery life in its category, but the coils consume relatively little power in everyday use. For a full day of vaping, an additional charge will nevertheless be necessary, although the device can still be used while charging. The pod is sold without a charging cable, which is disappointing.
On the side opposite the airflow control, four small LEDs indicate the pod’s remaining battery level. Their color changes depending on how the cartridge is inserted. There is therefore no need to check whether you are vaping at 1 ohm or 0.7 ohm. The color coding is clear enough to immediately understand which resistance setting has been selected.
The Argus Z3 has no fire button. Vapor is produced simply by inhaling. During use, we noticed no delay between the beginning of the draw and vapor production. The device is highly responsive.
One cartridge is supplied with the device. The multi-Ohm pod can be used at either 1 ohm or 0.7 ohm depending on how it is inserted into the device. This provides two different vaping experiences from a single cartridge, ranging from a tight mouth-to-lung draw to a very restricted direct lung draw. Capacity is 3.5 ml.
When it comes to vaping performance, the Argus Z3 is a success. Flavor quality is very good, whether you are vaping fruity or dessert-style e-liquids. Flavor reproduction is precise and detailed. We also appreciate the excellent lifespan of these cartridges, which handle numerous refills without difficulty.
