SBS Box

The Sidera is an SBS (Side by Side) box, with the atomizer placed beside the box, next to the battery compartment. This format offers a more compact final setup, though it limits the diameter of compatible atomizers. The Sidera supports atomizers with a maximum diameter of 24 mm, accommodating most tanks designed for power up to 60 W.

The Sidera combines brushed aluminum alloy, smooth finishes, and leather for the grip. The build quality is excellent, from engravings to assembly and screws. At the bottom of the mod, a USB-C port enables occasional charging, though its primary function is to access the chipset’s internals via the free EScribe software, which we’ll discuss later.

The battery compartment is accessed through a threaded cap beneath the Sidera box. A tab simplifies opening and closing the cap. Four vent holes are provided for safety in case of battery issues or short circuits. The Sidera runs on a single 18650 battery.

At the top of the box, a decorative engraved plate bears the model name and enhances the mod’s design. Below it is a firing button for vapor production. A secondary button is located on the front, designed for thumb operation. However, its placement makes it suitable only for right-handed users.

On the front panel, there is a fire button and two adjustment buttons labeled “+” and “-“. These buttons are pleasant to use, providing a soft click sound and a firm press. They protrude just enough to be easily located by touch.

The box also features a display screen located on the same side as the secondary fire button. Small but well-proportioned, it provides essential information, and both the display and settings can be fully customized through the EScribe software.

The chipset is none other than the Evolv DNA 60C, a well-regarded electronic component. We’ve dedicated an entire article to the capabilities of this chipset. It’s a high-end choice, delivering top performance and an expanded, customizable experience to maximize the Sidera mod’s potential. The box supports up to 60 W, perfectly aligned with the clearomizer and the 18650 battery format.

Versatile Clearomizer

The Zenith M features a 24 mm diameter and a 4 ml capacity. It’s an excellent and versatile product that supports both indirect inhalation (MTL) and restricted direct inhalation (DL). Equipped with two drip tips suited to the chosen draw style, it’s reliable and beginner-friendly.

Refilling is equally simple. Twist the clearomizer’s top cap a quarter-turn to access the fill port. A slit-sealed gasket covers the port, allowing the bottle’s tip to pass through while preventing spills during overly fast or generous refills. Fine engravings on the top cap improve grip.

At the base of the Zenith M, a rotating ring acts as an airflow control, adjusting the amount of air that cools the coil within the tank. By restricting airflow, the Zenith M delivers a tight, indirect draw similar to a traditional cigarette, while more open settings allow for controlled direct inhalation.

The coil is installed at the base of the clearomizer by unscrewing it. The process is simple and requires no technical skill. Two guiding tabs ensure proper placement, making incorrect installation impossible.

Two coils are included with the kit:

  • Z-Coil 0.8 ohm: For tight draws, usable at 15–18 W.
  • Z-Coil 0.3 ohm: For direct inhalation, usable at 30–40 W.

Both coils perform well, satisfying MTL and restricted DL enthusiasts alike. The flavors are nuanced, well-defined, and consistently respected. It’s hard to be disappointed by this clearomizer, which caters to a wide range of vapers’ needs.

While the box is more suited for a rebuildable atomizer to fully exploit its electronics, the Zenith M remains a top-tier choice.
