With a height of 116 mm a width of 19 mm, Luméa is kind of a flattened tubular kit. Dual advantage of this design: the mod does not roll and handling is easy. The finish is good and seems robust with non jingling parts.

All-day autonomy

lumea-j-well-11With its 1500 mAh, the autonomy of the battery is very comfortable. It sends 4 volts to a resistance coil of 0.8 Ohm for a total power of 20 W. Such specifications provide an all-day vaping autonomy for a regular vaper.

In detail, the fibre used as wicking fabric is labelled Fiber Freaks, a guarantee of quality. J Well recommends not to go beyond 50% VG but it easily accepts thicker juices, up to 70% VG.

Unprecedented airflow system

The Delrin drip-tip is proprietary. It is screwed on the clearomizer and its diameter of 7 mm is well thought-out. It is adapted to all vaping styles, from MTL vaping to DL inhalation.

The airflow system is original. It is made of three openings (tight to aerial) located at the base of the clearomizer. To set up the opening, you just need to pull and turn the clearomizer and adjust its plug in the right hole on the battery side. The clearomizerr is equipped with a magnetic base to to stay in place on the battery. This unprecedented system is smartly designed and efficient.

The integrated battery power indicator is made of three LEDs located under the airflow system.

Finally, the tank is filled by the top. The operation requires to unscrew the drip-tip and to fill up in the two holes located on each sides of the chimney. They are wide enough to accept glass pipettes or any other refill systems.

Good for vapor but taste is a bit back

The volume of vapor is satisfying, particularly when the airflow system is positioned on the middle setting or wide open. Rendering of flavors is correct without being exceptional, principally when the airflow system is wide open. It is also possible to get spits of liquids, occasionally, but it does not last long.

Rating of 3.9/5. Without any major flaw, the Luméa is a well thought kit designed for beginners. Compact, easy to use with a smart design, it is light and possesses all the assets to appeal to new vapers. One slight note of caution however, for the price (€49.90) one would have preferred variable wattage and some spare parts.
